LEIGH firefighters will be holding a sponsored car wash at Leigh fire station this Saturday morning, July 15, from 10am to 4pm for a local three year old boy called George Koumas. George was diagnosed with neuroblastoma a rare form of cancer effecting less than 100 children in the UK each year and has spent the last 15mths bravely fighting it off!

George’s parents recently received the fantastic news that he is in remission, however they were told that there is a 50% chance that he could relapse within the next five years.

After much research George’s parents have decided to support his recovery and healing using pure CBD oil derived from Hemp plants. This is a natural non toxic option which costs approximately £300 a month. George’s parents both had to leave their jobs to support him up at Great Ormond Street during his therapy and are trying to raise enough money to fund the first year’s treatment.

The firemen would welcome residents to support them on Saturday.
