Leigh Woman is Bodybuilding Champion

A LEIGH Fitness coach has won a qualifying Bodybuilding competition.

Tania Fisher, who owns Smart Fitness studio in Leigh, and is an exercise specialist, decided to enter herself into a bodybuilding British qualifier, called the Zak Khan Classic, held in St Albans.

Tanis said: “I’ve been in the fitness industry for 16 years but I’d never had the mindset to enter the competition before.”

However, all that changed when she was recommended the ex-Olympian Eddie Abbew as a coach.

Once he was on board, he tailored her programme and diet to her personal optimum, and after a 16-week preparation, the results truly paid off.

Tania said: “All I wanted to do was take part, and I never imagined in a million years that I would win it!”

About her trial, Tania said: “I loved the whole journey. I had no expectations and did it for the experience, and it is something I will never forget!”

What was even greater an honor after winning the qualifying championship was to be invited to take part in the UK Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation (BFF) championship this October, which takes place in Nottingham.

The winner of this will be crowned British champion, and Tania’s training for it has already begun.

“I’m still just buzzing from the invitation at the moment!” said Tania.
