LOCAL MP’s maggot makes a U turn and goes on to with the race.
A good time was had by all at this year’s Daws Heath Fete on Saturday July 15.
After a slow rainy start, the weather improved and crowds visited the Fete and this year’s Rotary Stand.
Crowds formed around the very popular ‘Bop The Cop’ electric light game, Tennis Ball attraction, but most excitingly around the ‘Maggot Racing.’
Effective Crowd Pullers Roger, Kevin and Peter had no trouble in bringing in enthusiastic players, young and old, to race multi-coloured maggots.
Local MP Rebecca Harris selected a true blue Maggot (known as Boris), and after a very slow start went on to win its race.
The RC Hadleigh Castle made over £90, which will go to charity.
